With a grant from the Pew Charitable Trust, the Charleston Civic Forum became the first organization in the state to initiate a city-wide dialogue on local issues, particularly those in which race is a factor.  Joining forces with the Palmetto Project in 1999, we produced three hour-long regional telecasts aimed at furthering public policy solutions in health care, education, and economic development.
